The best swimming in Lake Placid, in my opinion, is Mirror Lake! There’s a beach for people and dogs as well as places to jump and dive off of. It’s very clean and fresh, and the views are simply stunning: mountains, trees, sun. What a treat to swim in this lake.
The water is usually quite warm as well. I actually went wading it in this past week, in May. And it was cool but so refreshing! Swimming is not only great for your health and body, it’s the best for your soul too.
It’s also about a 10 minute short walk from GO-Cottage! Make sure you get out there and swim your heart out this summer at Mirror Lake!
