Who’s ready for a long weekend? We can’t wait for Labor Day this year on Monday the 2nd! We hope you’re doing something fun, whether it’s spending all day outdoors or relaxing with your friends and family.

If you happen to be hosting a Labor Day party, we know the preparation isn’t all that relaxing… But sorting out your menu in advance is a good way to eliminate some stress.

For summer’s last hurrah, it’s great to break out all your favourite warm weather recipes. If you want to mix in some new ones, we’ve gathered a few that would make for a tasty Labor Day spread.

Here are some mouthwatering grill recipes that Epicurious has featured from Bon Appétit:

For sides, don’t underestimate the classics! Watermelon cubes with mint leaves or tomatoes with basil and mozzarella are easy to prepare and good for nibbling.

Now for the fun part – drinks!

It’s good to have craft beers and a few nice wines on hand. My favorite white is Berger’s Gruner Veltliner and I also love a crisp Miraval Rosé. If you’re looking for an IPA, the well-loved Two Hearted Ale from Bell’s goes great with BBQ. For a fruitier beer, Short’s Brewing Company’s Soft Parade is brewed with pureed berries.

For cocktails, you can’t go wrong with a thirst-quenching mojito. Check out this one from Downshiftology, which swaps sugar for honey. For a sophisticated mocktail, make some Virgin Palomas from TORO NYC by combining 1.5 oz lime juice, 1 oz grapefruit juice, 1 oz agave syrup, and a “healthy pinch” of sea salt in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice.

Hosting a party is a big undertaking so don’t be afraid to ask for help. Put on a fun cooking playlist and enlist a loved one to help you prepare. Guests like being able to contribute, so let them bring their favorite salad or dessert. And don’t forget to enjoy yourself on the day!

I just want to congratulate you on the exquisite job you did on the Cottages! Did I mention how dreamy the beds are? I had my best night's sleep in weeks. Ahhhhh Oh my god! I just want to move in today. You have such lovely taste. It has such a peaceful aura. We all had a wonderful stay. Thank you again.
