Going through withdrawal from all that tasty food over the holidays? Lake Placid has plenty of comfort food to keep you going through this cold January and February!
First of all, Liquids and Solids is one of my personal favorites. They even have a butcher that’s incredible for chicken, steaks, etc.
And talk about beer! People drive for miles around because they want to taste their amazing variety of craft/microbrew beers. Furthermore, it’s just a quick walk from GO-Cottage!
The Interlaken Inn is also a favorite. Just about everything on their menu is great! Especially their delicious mac’n’cheese – now that’s comfort food.
They also have a fantastic wine cellar to really keep you cozy this winter.
There’s also the Whiteface Lodge, which has a bar area called Kanu Lounge. The lounge has two big stone fireplaces with enormous, comfy, big chairs in front of them!
What’s more, they have the best burgers and fries! Plus, the restaurant Kanu is amazing for any kind of celebration.
