Listen to your dog, they know more than you do!

We recently got a puppy! Her name is Lulu and she is our first dog as adults.

I found her one day on Waggy Tail Rescue, a New York City based animal rescue charity run by a wonderful, sweet women named Holly DeRito.

I have known Holly for many years and looked at her website every so often. But it wasn’t until I saw Lulu that it hit me.

Initially she was a foster, but after 2 days we were totally in love. There was no way I was going to give her back! (I always say that Lulu rescued us!)

I even started an instagram page for her called Adventureswithlulu.tv. Feel free to follow her adventures there!

Here are some fun photos of Lulu from the day we got her to today.

Animals are a godsend to us humans. So we need to do everything we can to care of them. The thing that strikes me most is the telepathy we share with dogs. This unspoken bond of communication is staggeringly strong! Lulu understands everything I say to her. Just smart as a whip!

Animals do have a sense that humans do not. So if you ever want to know what a person is all about, just introduce them to your dog and see what happens.

Once I was skeptical of an individual and introduced this person to Lulu. As soon as they met, Lulu wanted nothing to do with them. I thought, umm, could she be right? And in the end, her reaction was spot on.

The moral of this story is: listen to your dog, they know more then you do!

What’s your dog or animal story?

I just want to congratulate you on the exquisite job you did on the Cottages! Did I mention how dreamy the beds are? I had my best night's sleep in weeks. Ahhhhh Oh my god! I just want to move in today. You have such lovely taste. It has such a peaceful aura. We all had a wonderful stay. Thank you again.
