GO-Cottage

These are early girl tomatoes! They ripen in July and are so sweet and tasty! umm, can’t wait to make a giant fresh salad with these!

For just $5 bucks you can spend the entire  day at the Lake Placid Horse Show! Two fabulous weeks June 5th – July 11th of tons of fun and what talent you will see and the horses are just incredible to watch.

Dear Sharon:

Congratulations on your two cottages I have been researching to build a house of my own with my own two hands and stumbled upon your two cottages. I think they are wonderfull and I absolutely love the pictures with snow. My ideas for building are keep it simple, keep it clean and yours serves as a nice example of what I want. I really liked the shape of the outside of yours but I am thinking that I might need to re accomodate the interior for my needs.

Also it is amazing how much the garage changed after you worked on it!!! Impressive. On the two bed cottage I really liked the living room, it is simple, cozy and warm. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you and thank you for sharing.

Hi Sharon,

I just read a recent blog entry that you used Cabot paints for your cottages. (shown below) By chance, do you know what color gray tone you used? In your blog, you also mentioned you used federal blue cabot paint for your garage.  Do you have a picture so we can get an idea of how blue it truly is? We’re trying to figure out how to paint a home in the Hudson Valley and from the cottage shots I saw, I do like the colors you chose.

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for writing! Glad you like our Cottage colors. It was tough to find this grey blue color. All I can say is get a bunch that you think look close and test, test, test! Also, wait at least 3 days for it to dry and check it out at all different times of the day as the light really makes a difference.

Here is a before and after photo of the Garage, using the cabot federal blue. It’s a little bluer then the Cottages and we really like it a lot. Next time we paint we’ll most likely go with it. I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Please post some photos of it when you’re done.
